Pinterest Scheduler App
This section applies specifically to "Scheduler app Pocketguide", an internal tool we use to schedule and publish our own marketing content (Pins) to our own Pinterest account through the official Pinterest API. It is provided here to satisfy Pinterest's developer review requirements.
What the app is
The Scheduler is a private, first-party application operated solely by Pocket Guide Azores. It is not a public product and is not offered to or installed by other users. The only Pinterest account it connects to is the Pocket Guide Azores business account, with the account owner's explicit authorization via Pinterest's standard OAuth flow.
Data we access through the Pinterest API
With the account owner's permission, the app accesses only what is needed to schedule and publish content:
- Basic account information — the connected account's username and profile identifier, used to confirm the correct account is linked.
- Boards — the list of the account's own boards, so a scheduled Pin can be published to the chosen board.
- Pins — Pins that the app itself creates and publishes on the account's behalf, plus their basic status.
The app does not access other users' data, follower lists, private messages, or analytics beyond the connected account's own published content. It does not collect data about people who view or interact with our Pins.
How we use it
- To draft, schedule, and publish our own Pins to our own boards at chosen times.
- To confirm that scheduled Pins were published successfully.
We do not sell, rent, or share Pinterest data with any third party. We do not use Pinterest data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than managing our own content. Access tokens are stored securely and are used only to communicate with Pinterest's API.
Data retention and revoking access
We retain only the minimum data required to operate the scheduler (such as the access token and a record of scheduled Pins). The account owner can revoke the app's access at any time from the connected Pinterest account's settings under Settings → Security → Apps, after which the app can no longer access any Pinterest data. On revocation or on request, the corresponding access tokens are deleted.
Compliance
The Scheduler app is operated in accordance with the Pinterest Developer Guidelines and Pinterest's API terms. Our use of information received from the Pinterest API adheres to those policies, including any limitations on use and storage.
